It is essential to continue to get out and engage with life. Get feedback and counsel from ones you trust. Then remember your identity as a beloved child of a good, good Father and press on toward your goals.

Fight back against any lies you believe about yourself by meditating on God’s Word. And remember, you are safe and secure in God’s love. Then you can interact with others without fear of rejection, knowing God already accepts you.

One way to overcome insecurity driven by perfectionism is to remember it’s more about progress and excellence. Remember, you no longer need to strive to prove yourself because God already approves you. As you remember who you are and that you are safe, you can break up with perfect and take time to rest in God’s embrace.
